There’s a Place for You Here
Located just off the coast of Northeast Florida, historic Amelia Island and Fernandina combine old southern charm with modern Florida flair to create a truly unique culture with equal parts adventure and relaxation. Amelia Island’s nickname, the Isle of 8 Flags, stems from its rich history of being governed by 8 different nations since its founding in 1573. More than 13 miles of beaches, boardwalks and waterfront parks make up the area’s coastline. Embedded along the way are charming cafes, state parks, shops and the tranquil, barely occupied beaches of course. Locals soak in culture through art walks, the Amelia musical playhouse, the theatre, and even a pinball museum! Whether you’ve always dreamed of riding horseback while the sun sets on a beautiful beach or simply appreciate the peaceful lifestyle that comes with living in a coastal community, there’s a place for you here.
Baptist Health is a not-for-profit organization owned by the community – not by shareholders. We are guided by a volunteer board of more than 85 engaged community leaders.Currently ranked as the “most preferred” health care provider in the Jacksonville area, Baptist Health is deeply honored to serve the community through a growing circle of care that includes five nationally accredited hospitals (including the region’s only children’s hospital) plus more than 200 primary care and specialty physician practices, children’s specialty clinics, home health care, behavioral health, occupational health, pharmacies, rehabilitation services and urgent care.
