Gillette Children's offers a comprehensive fellowship with clinical experience involving both inpatient and outpatient care that focuses entirely on children with acute and chronic disabilities. There is emphasis on research as well, and the fellow is given dedicated time to complete such. The fellow will spend about one-third of the clinical months on the inpatient unit and about two-thirds in the outpatient clinics. The inpatient unit sees a wide variety of diagnoses including the common (TBI, SCI, etc.) and less common (Hemiplegia s/p hemispherectomy, rehabilitation post selective dorsal rhizotomy, etc.) conditions.
