The University of Utah Sports Medicine Fellowship is a comprehensive, inter-disciplinary, one year academic fellowship training program. Supervising faculty include nationally recognized experts in all aspects of sports and musculoskeletal medicine. The educational curriculum is robust. The fellowship provides ample opportunity for sports event coverage and research activities. We take four fellows per year from the following specialties: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Procedures Taught: Fellows receive training in the typical in-office sports medicine procedures, including joint and soft tissue injections and aspirations. Fellows also receive training in ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopically-guided procedures.
