The role youâ™ll contribute: Provide direct care as part of a multidisciplinary team within Cardiology Services. This includes Stress testing, EKGâ™s, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabliltaion classes. Must have ability to communicate with Physcians about changes in the patientâ™s clinical status.
The value youâ™ll bring to the team:
- Administers nursing care for patients in the Cardiology Services Department.
- Manages and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Support clinical and fiscal goals of the department.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skill in the nursing process.
- Assesses the patientâ™s physical and mental health, including the patientâ™s reaction to treatments or illness.
- Implements the treatment regime prescribed by the medical doctor.
- Teaches and counsels patients and their families in rehabilitation following Cardiac and or Pulmonary disease.
- Coordinates with Cardiopulmonary rehab staff in conducting of rehab classes. This includes maintain proper patient documentation including paper and electronic records. Continual assessment/ progression of the patient and involvement of the medical director as required.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences youâ™ll need to succeed:
- Current North Carolina Registered Nurse License required
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- Proficient in the interpretation of EKGâ™s preferred
- Proficient in IV starts and therapy preferred
- Previous Cardiac Rehab experience preferred
- Previous Pulmonary Rehab experience preferred
