Henry Ford Health is seeking a board certified/board eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician to join our multi-disciplinary team. Fellowship training is a plus, however not a requirement, except for interventional pain procedures.
We are seeking general physiatrists with broad skills in treating musculoskeletal, spine, pain, and peripheral nerve conditions. In this multidisciplinary role, the physiatrist may interface with Neurosurgery, Neurology, Anesthesia Pain, Rehabilitation Services (PT/OT/SLP), and Orthopedics.
For candidates possessing expertise and certification with procedures, including EMG/NCS, peripheral nerve & joint injections, and spine procedures - there are opportunities to expand the scope of general practice and work with Neurology, Anesthesia Pain, and Orthopedics. For candidates who have completed an ACGME accredited pain fellowship, there is an opportunity to partner with our anesthesia pain division for interventional spine procedures. There are also opportunities for specialized practice in traumatic brain injury, cancer rehabilitation, and orthotics & prosthetics.
As an academic program, we are active in clinical trials and basic science research. Our practice position offers time for educational and other academic endeavors, including a teaching role with medical students, residents and fellows. Additionally, a tenure-track academic appointment is offered through Wayne State University School of Medicine and Michigan State University Health Services.
