Pediatrician Opportunity, Akron Children's Hospital Pediatrics (ACHP) North Canton - North Canton, Ohio
Akron Children's Hospital is dedicated to building a diverse workforce - one that reflects our patient population and represents the communities we serve. Whether you're a resident, a physician early in your career, or a seasoned physician with years of experience, Akron Children's Hospital has something different that's hard to explain. You feel it in the atmosphere as soon as you enter through the doors. You experience it every day with your colleagues, staff, patients and their families. Once you're here, you know you're home.
Akron Children's Hospital Pediatrics (ACHP) brings pediatric primary care for babies, children and teens to many northeast Ohio communities through our 35+ pediatric offices. Join our established North Canton practice of 6 experienced pediatricians and 2 experienced nurse practitioners as the practice continues to grow. This is an outpatient opportunity with after-hours calls and Saturday office hours shared between providers in surrounding offices. Calls only reach the physician after being screened by our excellent after-hours nurse triage phone line which handles more than 90% of the calls. This location recently expanded in a brand-new space as part of the Akron Children's Hospital Health Center bringing together pediatric primary care, over a dozen of the most in-demand pediatric specialty care practices, and rehabilitation services in one conveniently-located medical building. This is an established practice, so we welcome new graduates or established providers to step into a practice that continues to develop and grow.
This position is a 501(c)(3) site which qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government.
Our offices follow standard hospital-based policies, while retaining the local culture of each practice. Our physicians enjoy the use of EPIC as a system-wide integrated electronic health record. Our primary care offices are all PCMH certified. The Patient-Centered Medical Home is a model of care that puts patients at the forefront of care. PCMHs build better relationships between people and their clinical care teams. Research shows that they improve quality, the patient experience and staff satisfaction, while reducing health care costs.
