The cardiovascular care center at Children's Minnesota Minneapolis Hospital includes a 25-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit, a cardiovascular operating room, a hybrid operating room with single-plane technology, a newly remodeled biplane catheterization lab, a pre and post-operative unit, a simulation lab and conference center. In 2018, Children's launched its heart failure and heart transplant program to provide children experiencing heart failure with access to heart failure management, ventricular assist device therapy, and heart transplants in a setting designed specifically for kids, close to home.
