The Division of Rehabilitation Medicine/Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation, at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, seeks a BC or BE PMR/Pain Medicine physician with fellowship training in Pain Medicine. This non-tenure track appointment is full time with rank (assistant/associate/professor) and entails provision of clinical services, teaching and research. The incumbent will provide care in outpatient settings with time equally divided in multidisciplinary Pain Clinic, Spine Clinic and Ambulatory Surgery Center. The Pain Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic, staffed by BC Pain Medicine faculty from PM&R, Anesthesiology, Psychology, in-house Physical therapy and midlevel providers. Spine clinics are staffed by PMR, orthopedic and neurosurgery faculty. The Ambulatory Surgery Center has 3 pain procedure rooms and 6 ORs. Teaching responsibilities will include participating in education and training of Pain Medicine fellows, residents and medical students. Our ACGME accredited Pain Fellowship program accepts two pain medicine fellows/year. Research is encouraged, the department has a robust research infrastructure and staff to support basic and clinical research. It is expected that this physician will provide exemplary care, expand our reach into the region and state through outreach clinics and presentations, and play an active role in the education and training of Pain Medicine fellows, residents and medical students, in outpatient settings.
