Reading Hospital Rehabilitation at Wyomissing is a free standing rehabilitation hospital opened in 2009 and is a part of Reading Hospital. It is a state-of-the-art facility features: 174,000-square-foot, three-story building and includes a 61-bed Acute Rehabilitation Center, including an 11-bed secured Brain Injury Unit; a 50-bed Subacute rehabilitation unit; Aquatic therapy pool: outdoor therapy garden with putting green; On-site pharmacy, and radiological services. Our onsite spacious outpatient PM&R office has an AANEM certified EMG lab doing over 2500 EMGs per year. Also onsite is one of our seven outpatient therapy clinics, with PT, OT and Speech. We offer highly specialized in and outpatient programs including amputee, brain injury, neuromuscular, orthopedic, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's and stroke rehabilitation. Reading Hospital Rehabilitation at Wyomissing is the only hospital in the region accredited by both the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and The Joint Commission. Our Stroke Specialty, Brain Injury, and Amputee Programs are also CARF specialty accredited.
