PSYCHIATRY OPPORTUNITIES IN THE CAPITAL OF OREGON WINE COUNTRY – EUGENE & ROSEBURG, OR
The Roseburg VA Healthcare System in Roseburg, OR, is seeking full-time board certified/board eligible general psychiatrist to join our Mental Health Team. The psychiatrist will function as a highly skilled, independent care provider in the management of patients with behavioral health problems; carry a caseload and provide consultation to Behavioral Health, Primary Care, and other clinical programs within the VA Healthcare system, community agencies, and other clinicians caring for our veterans; be responsible to one or more Behavioral Health programs either on the main or Eugene campus or at outlying clinics associated with the Roseburg VA Healthcare System, and may participate in Tele-psychiatry duties.
Medical Director/Lead – Behavioral Health Service
Provides a full range of professional psychiatric services to address the complex issues (i.e. medical, vocational, educational, and social) faced by Veteran patients served in the Behavioral Health and Primary Care clinics. This position represents a unique opportunity for an experienced and enterprising physician interested in a leadership position.
Staff Psychiatrist – Behavioral Health Integrated Program (BHIP)
Provide recovery-oriented care to Veterans who are experiencing acute and chronic mental health conditions. These positions are located in Eugene or Roseburg, Oregon aligned under the Mental Health Care line. This psychiatrist will work on an interdisciplinary team treating Veterans with a full range of diagnosis including mood disorders, PTSD, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, neurocognitive disorders and who may be experiencing suicidal/homicidal ideations.
The Roseburg VA Medical Center (RVAMC) consists of one Veterans Health Administration (VHA) facility located in Roseburg, OR, and three outpatient clinics. The Roseburg campus consists of 200 acres and 32 buildings for the 62,000 veterans who reside in Central and Southern Oregon and Northern California. Services include outpatient primary care, outpatient mental health, some specialty care, substance abuse residential rehabilitation, Home-Based Primary Care (HBPC), HUD/VASH (VA Supported Housing), and Compensated Work Therapy (CWT) programs.

Expected Salary range for well qualified Psychiatrist will be competitive for the academic rank with consideration given to candidate's qualifications, credentials and experience; and may include up to $15,000 in Annual Performance Bonus. Selected candidate may be eligible to apply for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), and if approved, receive up to $200k in school loan repayment.
