Position Description :

Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.

Major/Essential Functions :

Rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Full Professor are applicable salary are dependent upon candidate's qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Inpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation at Covenant Children's Hospital
Inpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation Service at Trustpoint Rehabilitation Hospital
Outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation at Covenant Children's Hospital three to four half days per week
Supervising residents and medical students service in inpatient and outpatient settings
Provide lectures and conferences for residents and medical students
Conducts and publishes peer reviewed clinical research
Engages in scholarship, quality improvement, and program development

Occasional Duties :

Coverage of adult inpatient rehabilitation units

Required Qualifications :

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
MD or DO is required

About Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center

The Texas Tech Health Sciences Center Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation seeks to provide exceptional patient care, conduct research to improve the health of patients with disability, and train clinician leaders and scholars with a focus on providing healthcare to rural populations and the underserved. We are planning on adding additional faculty in the 2022 year with the goal of an accredited categorical residency program by July 1st, 2023. The Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation will exemplyfiy the three goals of the School of Medicine: education, research and patient care.
