SUMMARY

Hennepin Healthcare has a full-time(or part-time) opportunity for a Physiatrist interested in Neurorehabilitation to join our Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation team. Position will involve both Inpatient and Outpatient responsibilities.

• Inpatient responsibility will involve performing hospital consultations at our level I trauma center and acute care hospital. May also provide care for an average of 10 patients per half- day in our 18-bed CARF-accredited acute rehabilitation unit 
• Outpatient responsibilities involve providing care for patients with acquired brain injuries and other neurological disorders
• Interest in spasticity management is welcomed/desired
• Opportunities for medical student/resident/fellow education and research

May be requested to have or be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Minnesota

Per candidate's skillset and professional aspirations, potential leadership opportunities include:

• Medical Directorship of TBI Outpatient Program (CARF accredited) leading interdisciplinary team of PT/OT/SLP/developmental optometry/clinical psychology/neuropsychology/social service.
• Site Directorship of Brain Injury Medicine Fellowship through the University of Minnesota.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess (or be eligible for) current unrestricted license to practice Medicine in the State of Minnesota.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Brain Injury Medicine.
• If Board Eligible, must be Board Certified within 4 years from the date of completion of the applicable residency, fellowship or training program
• Current D.E.A. Certificate or be eligible for certificate
• Eligible for hospital credentialing
• Current Life Support Certification or complete course within 2 months of hire
