Position Information:
We are currently seeking physicians with an interest and training in General Pediatrics with experience and interest in leadership to join our team in Raleigh, NC as Medical Director. Our team currently consists of 12 physicians providing comprehensive care for children through our outpatient clinics located in Raleigh, Cary and Clayton. The division also has plans for expansion into other areas within Wake County. WakeMed Children's Hospital and NICU recently underwent a state-of-the-art renovation and offers a wide array of sub-specialty support. This position serves both in a clinical (80%) and administrative (20%) capacity. Call coverage and clinical responsibilities will be shared with team members. As medical director, the successful candidate will be responsible for local strategy, operational performance, and appropriate development of their group/division. In this work they partner with and are supported by the Executive Medical Director, Service Line Director and/or respective Practice Manager. The Medical Director is responsible for leading their group in the development and execution of operational tactics to achieve the aspirational goals for the group; including but not limited to - quality, patient experience, clinical outcomes, financial outcomes, new services, regional development, referral development, clinical operations and medical staff interactions with the group. In their leadership role, the individual will work closely with other physician leaders, physicians, APPs, nursing, administration (WPP and system), recruiting, clinical and financial staff, and marketing. This position reports directly to the Executive Medical Director for Primary Care Services and supports the mission, values, and management of WPP. Qualified candidates must be currently BE/BC in general pediatrics. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
