Seeking BE/BC full time Brain Injury (Traumatic, Acquired and Stroke) Subspecialist

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Rochester Medical Center located in Rochester, NY is actively recruiting for a brain injury subspecialist. We continue to track on a rapid faculty and programmatic growth curve supported by an approved newly renovated 11 private bed acute inpatient subspecialty brain injury rehabilitation unit opening in 2022 in addition to our current 20 bed CARF accredited acute inpatient rehabilitation unit.. This position will work closely with current brain injury PM&R faculty to provide clinical expertise within the brain injury rehabilitation service line, focusing primarily on acute brain injury consult service, managing dedicated brain injury inpatient rehabilitation beds and supporting our rapidly growing outpatient brain injury populations. This role carries ample opportunity to pursue academic scholarly activity and interests.  This consists of supporting the education mission consisting of teaching and mentoring fellows, residents and medical students as well as the support to pursue research interests, interfacing collaboratively with the Dept. of PM&R UR Neurorestoration Institute as well as with the Dept. of Neurology/Neurosurgery Del Monte Neuroscience Institute.  This position comes with a faculty appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine.

Ideal candidates would be BC/BE and fellowship trained in brain injury rehabilitation medicine or have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing brain injury patients.
