Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital is looking for a BC/BE Pediatric Rehabilitation Physician (double boarded or fellowship trained), to join their growing Pediatric Rehabilitation Hospital. The physician would be sharing in coverage of the inpatient pediatric rehabilitation unit with 20 beds, average daily census @ 12 patients. The new pediatric rehabilitation physician will be supported and encouraged to grow an outpatient practice in their areas of interest. There are opportunities to do acute care consultations and multidisciplinary collaboration with two large acute care hospital systems with Trauma, NICU and PICU programs. There will also be opportunities to work with Pediatric and PM&R residents from 4 large health systems. Good Shepherd is the only pediatric rehabilitation provider in the U.S. to offer three sizes of Trexo robotic gait training technology.
 
Good Shepherd is the leader in the Lehigh Valley for Pediatric Rehabilitation including with extensive technology and resources in all disciplines. The Lehigh Valley is a wonderful area to raise children with excellent education, an amazing amount of indoor and outdoor experiences as well. The Lehigh Valley is less than an hour from Philadelphia, 90 minutes to New York City and 2 hours to the Jersey Shore. We are looking for someone who is eager to join an enthusiastic team to help bring amazing care to the children of the Lehigh Valley with rehabilitation needs.
 
  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Provides state-of-the art physiatric care for Good Shepherd pediatric patients and supports the Good Shepherd Mission. Provides services in the 20 bed inpatient pediatric unit and outpatient satellites and consultation services at acute care hospitals in the greater Lehigh Valley area.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
    • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.       • Education
        • Combined Residency and/or fellowship training and clinical experience in Pediatrics and Pediatric Rehabilitation in diagnosis, medical and rehabilitation management of children with impairments related to neurologic, musculoskeletal, genetic, cardiopulmonary and other general disorders required
      • Work Experience
        • Previous experience in diagnosis of medical and rehabilitation management of pediatric patients required
      • Licenses / Certifications
        • Board Certified/Board Qualified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation required
        • Board Certified/Board Qualified Pediatrics or Pediatric PM&R required
        • Pennsylvania State Medical License required
