Under the direction of the DMC Market Chief Financial Officer, the Reimbursement Director will be responsible for providing support for all government fee for service reimbursement affecting four acute care hospitals; one is a children’s hospital and one freestanding rehabilitation hospital. In this role, he or she will also:
Support various functions related to accounting for DMC revenue cycle transactions, including monthly entries for contractual allowances.
Serve as an internal consultant to the DMC leadership for reimbursement and Medicare/Medicaid regulatory matters.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. CPA preferred.
At least ten years of experience in healthcare financial management and accounting in a medium to large size academic medical center with significant responsibility for Medicare and Medicaid third-party reimbursement.
Academic medical center, organ transplant program and nursing and allied health reimbursement regulatory and payment policy experience. Financial leadership roles strongly preferred.
