The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation has opportunities for multiple faculty position as early as September 1, 2021. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Assistant, Associate, or Professor. The successful candidate should have expertise/demonstrated interests in areas related to spinal cord injury, stroke, spine, cancer rehab, inpatient rehab, and/or general physiatry. These are NEW positions in a growing department, now ranked at #17 in the USNWR with our residency program ranked at #14. .

Practice opportunities abound in integrated multidisciplinary clinics, as well as research development with collaboration across departments and access to our new Mobility Lab (Including neuromodulation) and growing cognitive-behavioral research team. Qualifications: The position requires a doctorate in medicine from an accredited university. Preferably, the candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience. Applicants must be eligible for permanent employment in the U.S.
Duties include: Providing direct patient care activities at UTSW facilities main campus clinics, potentially and/or at our partner health systems; opportunities to participate in medical student, resident and fellowship training and research activities as well as community education.
Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
