The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a physician with a focus on outpatient neuro-rehabilitation. The candidate will be working with inpatients and outpatients at UW Health locations. We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in research, clinical activities and education.
M.D. or D.O.
Board Certified in PMR
Completion of approved residency program
WI Medical License or eligible for WI Medical License
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Provision of clinical care with a focus on neuro-rehabilitation
Work with neuro-rehabilitation outpatients and inpatients at clinic locations
Focus practice primarily on outpatient neuro-rehabilitation patients
Act as lead attending physician for UW Health's Amputee Clinic
Act as inpatient attending as needed based on census
The candidate will be expected to increase the rehabilitation medicine practice through referrals from the region and state; to participate in outreach activities via presentations and/or clinics at hospitals and medical centers throughout the state and region; to have an active role in the training and education of medical students, residents and fellows in the area of rehabilitation medicine.
The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, university service and research. Additionally, the successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health, the School of Medicine and Public Health and the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
