MSK/Spine Physiatrist

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation are seeking a full-time physiatrist with an interest in spine and musculoskeletal medicine for our growing department. We offer opportunities for teaching, research and administrative leadership.
Candidate must be board certified/eligible in PM&R and successfully demonstrate strong organizational, communication, teaching and leadership skills. Clinical and academic track appointments are available, and the positions are well supported by superb staff and facilities.
UPMC aims to provide outstanding patient care and to shape tomorrow’s health system. We are looking for a physiatrist to help expand our capacity to care for spine and musculoskeletal disorders, including through the use of innovative, multidisciplinary clinics that focus on comprehensive care and follow population health models.
In addition to the qualifications above:
Clinically based non-tenure track options are available. For appointment in the tenure stream, evidence of scholarly productivity is required including teaching and academic service, publications in relevant peer-reviewed journals, and a history of successful funding acquisition. The primary requirement for conferral of tenure is an outstanding record of sustained independent scholarship across the various activities listed above.
