Seeking Spinal Cord Injury and Brain Injury subspecialists
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Rochester Medical Center located in Rochester, NY is recruiting for both a spinal cord injury and brain injury subspecialists. The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is tracking on a rapid faculty and real estate growth initiative consisting of an already approved acute inpatient subspecialty neurorehabilitation unit opening FY21. These positions will provide clinical expertise to our spinal cord injury patients and additional brain injury expertise within the consult service, acute and subacute inpatient rehabilitation beds, as well as our growing spinal cord injury and brain injury outpatient populations. This role carries ample opportunity to pursue academic scholarly activity and research interfacing collaboratively with the Dept. of PM&R UR Neurorestorative Institute as well as with the Dept. of Neurology/Neurosurgery Del Monte Neuroscience Institute.
Ideal candidates would be BC/BE and fellowship trained in spinal cord injury or brain injury and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience managing SCI or brain injury patients and would also have a keen interest in teaching and mentoring fellows, residents and medical students.
