About Oregon Medical Group
Oregon Medical Group is devoted to providing coordinated, comprehensive and convenient care. We know that if we make it easy for patients to see a doctor, they will be healthier. Likewise, if we make it easy to see a specialist, the continuity of care the patients receive will be superior.
That patient focus is where it all began: OMG was established by a small group of Lane County physicians who envisioned a patient care model directed by a medical team rather than a traditional management team. Although good management would be important in order to ensure service and financial sustainability, the providers adopted a model that would always put patient outcomes first.
This sounds easy enough, but the approach was ground-breaking. It meant full buy-in by everyone on the team, and a deep commitment that would take a long view, rather than seeking short-term successes. Over the years, this physician-led and patient-directed approach has made it easy to act on the best interests of our patients.
That was 30 years ago, and our patient base continues to grow, as does our workforce. However, we take nothing for granted – in particular, our employees. Work-life balance, mental ...and physical health, and opportunities for continuous
professional development are held in high regard at OMG. We consider the wellbeing of every employee to be directly linked to every patient. We know that people are relying on us to help them feel better.
