The University of Washington's Department of Rehabilitation Medicine invites applications for a general physiatrist to join our PM&R department. This will be a full-time, 12-month appointment at the Assistant Professor (without tenure due to funding) in the Clinician-Educator pathway. The anticipated start date is August 2020.
This position offers the unique opportunity for a general physiatrist with interest in neurorehabilitation to shape the future of outpatient rehabilitation and consultative inpatient care at the University of Washington Medical Center’s Northwest campus. This role will develop a robust inpatient consultative service and have strong leadership and interdisciplinary team management skills. This position will also build a general outpatient physiatry practice.

Applicants must have a medical degree (M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent) and be board-certified or board-eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and must have or be eligible for medical licensure by the State of Washington.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
