We are seeking a Medical Director with great clinical and interpersonal skills to lead our Comprehensive Spine Center team in beautiful Allentown, PA.
Our Comprehensive Spine Center’s interdisciplinary team of 17 physicians and surgeons, as well as four Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs), includes orthopedics, physiatry, pain medicine, and neurosurgery. The goal of the Comprehensive Spine Center is to streamline a multidisciplinary approach to spine care, emphasizing nonsurgical treatment in collaboration with chiropractic medicine and physical therapy. When surgery is the best course of action, our expert orthopedic and neurosurgeons offer minimally invasive techniques for the most precise and effective procedures.
The responsibilities of our new Medical Director include, but are not limited to:
Providing direct patient care
Assisting with the programmatic development and the clinical and administrative oversight of the program
Acting as a liaison between the Comprehensive Spine Center and other medical staff providers delivering spine-related care
Optimizing and overseeing the intake process for patients
Supervising the APCs assigned to the program
Creating a continuing education curriculum for spine providers
Improving patient experience, access, and navigation across disciplines
A successful candidate will be a board certified, fellowship trained (if applicable) in either Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Pain Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or Neurosurgery with at least five years’ experience in their field. A current PA Medical License or ability to obtain one is required.
