The Vice President of Data and Analytics is responsible for the strategy, development, deployment, and maintenance of all population health information technology and analytics solutions at RWJBH. This role supports all population health strategic initiatives including ACO s and other value-based models, to provide information insights and drive operational performance. Additionally, this individual supports the broader data and analytic strategies across RWJBH including data governance, enterprise data warehousing and analytics, and strategic centralized and/or de-centralized analytics teams.
Preferred: Master s degree in Health Care, Information Technology, Biomedical informatics, statistics or related field
10+ years of healthcare experience
5+ years with claims-based analytics
5+ years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional, analytical and technical teams
In depth knowledge of industry standards including major healthcare ontologies such as ICD, CPT, LOINC, SNOMED, HCPCS, DRG, APR-DRG, NDC, etc.
In depth understanding risk-based reimbursement models including Accountable Care Organizations, clinically integrated networks, bundled payment models, and full risk arrangements
Ability to effectively drive business, culture and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment
Knowledge and experience of population health understanding operations and key drivers of success including National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) performance analytics
Ability to manage, analyze, and synthesize data to deliver insights and knowledge to support organizational decisions including analyzing disparate data such as payer claims sources, EMR systems, Health Information Exchanges, Lab systems, Rx data, billing data, patient satisfaction data, and provider data
Experience with machine learning, advanced predictive analytic methods
Superior communication and interpersonal skills, facilitation/training skills, project management capabilities, and leadership orientation
Strong assertiveness skills and ability to manage conflict in a variety of situations
Superior organizational and people management skills
Demonstrated ability to align and motivate key process stakeholders, including nurses, physicians, and other clinical/administrative staff
Demonstrated ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams
