We need an Attending Physiatrist to do a mix of OP and some IP to join our experienced and skilled rehab team serving 26 bed ARU within our top performing acute care hospital, with busy trauma center and comprehensive stroke program. You will split your time with approximately 60% outpatient clinical work and 40% inpatient hospital work, working with two other physiatrist colleagues.
The IP patients will be general neuro rehab, but if you have a specialty we can likely focus the role to satisfy your interest. On the outpatient side, we have clinic 5 days a week, seeing follow-ups, spasticity management (small pump management available), EMG, and MSK. This is a very busy rehab program serving a general rehab population, but with more than enough complexity to keep it interesting.
Our facility has been recognized for two straight years by The Joint Commission as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures, and we offers the area's only Level II Trauma Center. Our unit offers the full continuum of rehabilitation services for neurological and orthopedic injuries in a new, state-of-the-art center.
The area is famous for its miles and miles of spectacular white sand beaches, golf courses, a stunning amount of festivals, with spectacular accommodations and supporting industries. There’s another side that includes freshwater springs and vast wetlands teeming with tropical plants and unique wildlife, a rich history, culture filled with art, music and drama, and culinary delights that can be as simple or complicated as you like. The area offers as much recreation to balance out the great practice opportunity - truly a great quality of life!
