The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) invites highly motivated and innovative Physiatrists to join our faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established program providing services to patients of all ages. Opportunities exist in the following areas:
Spine – a new interdisciplinary clinic with neurosurgical, orthopaedic surgical, anesthesia/pain and PM&R colleagues
Neuro-rehabilitation/stroke rehabilitation – full time involvement directing an adult stroke rehabilitation unit at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital
Pain - expertise and interest in chronic pain, including research and teaching
Pediatric rehabilitation – fellowship trained pediatric physiatrist to provide inpatient and outpatient clinical care
The Department is proud to partner with Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital - one of the nation’s foremost providers for medical and physical rehabilitation for adults and children, Children’s Hospital and Medical Center – the premier provider of healthcare for children in our region, and the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System. With the implementation of our newly accredited residency program in PM&R, we will begin training outstanding residents this July.
The successful candidate must be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree) who is board certified/eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Candidates should have outstanding interpersonal skills along with enthusiasm for patient care, medical student and resident education.
