Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to join our experienced and energetic team of regional providers as an inpatient pediatric specialist at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. Hospitalists working at St. Rita’s Medical Center are employees of Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
St. Rita’s Medical Center with a staff of 3,000 employees, physicians and volunteers, was identified as one of the 100 Top Hospitals in 2018 by IBM Watson Health. The pediatric unit of St. Rita’s Medical Center includes an 18-bed inpatient pediatric unit, an 18-bed Level II Special Care Nursery and a Mother-child well baby unit.
Responsibilities of the Pediatric Hospitalist include providing general pediatric consultations as well as inpatient pediatric care, Emergency Department consultations for admission or transfer and attending high-risk deliveries and c-sections. Shifts for the Pediatric Hospitalists are in-house and hours are typically 8am-5pm with 24-hour coverage provided by long-tenured nurse practitioners.
Qualified candidates must be board certified/ board eligible in Pediatrics, patient-centered and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in pediatric care. The position offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
