The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Montefiore Medical Center is seeking to hire general physiatrists with interests in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, spine care as well as neurological rehabilitation. The applicant will be expected to help sustain and grow an active outpatient clinical practice across various practice locations in The Bronx and Lower Hudson Valley. Participation in the acute consult service may also be involved.
The physician will be expected to work closely with colleagues with the department as well as with physicians from other related fields in order to support an integrated care model and facilitate high quality care. In addition, the applicant will actively participate in the training of residents. This responsibility may include curriculum development, direct supervision of trainees and their evaluation in collaboration with PM&R residency. In addition, the applicant will be expected to take an active role in ongoing and new field related research endeavors in the area of rehabilitation medicine.
