The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for a Physician (Internist/Family Medicine/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation). The Physician will function in Spinal Cord Injury Service. The Spinal Cord Injury Service is a Center of Excellence with a national reputation for many innovative programs. We provide Primary and specialty care to Veterans in Northern Ohio through a 32 bed inpatient unit, outpatient clinic and long term care unit.
The Physician duties include:
Providing inpatient/outpatient/long-term medical care and consultative services in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment for acute and chronic Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) patients.
Participating in pre-admission screening, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary team rounds.
Providing leadership for team building, program development and practice improvement within SCI Service.
Participating in opportunities for student, resident and staff education and research.

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Experience with academic medical practice in a teaching hospital.
Experience in hospital medicine.
Experience with quality improvement and research.
$103,395 to $264,000 per year
