Alameda Health Partners is seeking a full time Physiatrist to join the Orthopedic Department in Oakland, CA
The physiatrist will work in an exclusive outpatient setting to provide comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation care and treatment for patients with spine and musculoskeletal conditions or injuries. Evaluation and treatment will include the use of peripheral joint injections, use of a musculoskeletal ultrasound machine, and working with other specialty providers including therapies, orthopaedics, internal medicine, neurosurgery, and pain medicine. There is also potential to utilize an EMG machine and fluoroscopy. This is a new physiatrist position under our growing Orthopaedic service line with the opportunity to develop and grow this position. There are no inpatient responsibilities, evening or weekend call.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the desire to be involved in enhancing quality of patient care. Specialty training in sport medicine is preferred.
The successful candidate will be board eligible/board certified in PM&R. MD or DO with CA medical license or willingness to obtain state license.
This position reports to the Chief of Rehab Services under the Department of Orthopaedics. This position will be based at several clinic sites under the Alameda Health System.
