The Center for Integrated Pain and Spine Care at Dartmouth Hitchcock Health seeks a board-certified physician medicine and rehabilitation specialists. This is both a clinical and leadership position for the care of pain and spine. The Center is unique in that it provides comprehensive care through multiple modalities including: ambulatory assessment, Physical therapy (McKenzie specialist), Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Functional Restoration Program, Occupational Medicine, Pain Medicine, Interventional Procedures, and Surgical Intervention. Providers include physician assistants, nurse practitioners, social work, therapists, anesthesia pain, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurosurgeons, and orthopedic spine surgeons.
The provider will be working in the outpatient setting. The provider will be expected to provide a leadership role with the Functional Restoration Program (FRP). The FRP mission is to restore healthy lives with personal goal-oriented physical training, learning and life planning. FRP vision is to help people with chronic disabling pain to achieve their goals for work, play, and daily activities through an active physical and occupational therapy-based program. FRP is a long standing and successful and unique program supported by research. There are significant opportunities for expansion of this well established and proven program through your leadership. The provider is expected to engage in the multidisciplinary aspects of clinical care, the care of general outpatient pain and spine patients. Experience in EMG’s and procedures is helpful. Experience in pain management is beneficial as well. Compensation is negotiable and can be a combination of salaried +/- RVU based production depending on interests and personal goals. The compensation is very competitive against national benchmarks.

We are looking for the right person with a passion for this type of care rather than a certain specialty. Qualified applicants may be board eligible/certified in Physical Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Occupational Health or Primary Care.
The successful candidate will have a faculty appointment at Geisel School of Medicine and will be expected to participate in the academic and research activities of the medical school and pain and spine center including weekly conferences and resident education.
