One to three year fellowship in MS and neuroimmunology commencing 1 July of each year. Position may be based in Portland, Seattle or Baltimore. Fellows will have the opportunity to customize their fellowship training to obtain a wide variety of skills in clinical, scientific, and applied therapies for MS. Intensive training in diagnosis and management of a wide variety of MS symptoms. The program offers research opportunities, training in cellular and molecular immunology, use of quantitative MRI, use of telehealth, and interaction with nationally recognized MS experts. Strong emphasis on career development - one-on-one didactic training, advanced research methods and analysis, grant writing skills. The VA MS Center of Excellence West (MSCoe West) is one of two Centers of Excellence funded to improve the health care or veterans with MS throughout the United Staes using state-of-the-art clinical care, research, education, and informatics. The MSCoE West is co-located in Seattle and Portland. The program supports MD Fellows in Seattle and Portland who work in a rich multi-disciplanary and multi-center environment of clinicians, educators and researchers. Fellows have an opportunity to customize their experience over 1-3 years to build clinical skills, educational skills, as well as basic, clincal, and health services research capabilities. Individuals who have completed the Fellowship have gone on to successful positions in clinical anad academic environments.
