Treatments include degenerative joint processes including joint replacement, as well as diagnosis and treatment of knee, shoulder, elbow, hand, foot, wrist, spine and hip fractures and other general musculoskeletal trauma, sports medicine, arthroscopy, pain and minimally invasive surgery
One of the orthopaedic surgeons is an examiner for both the oral and clinical Board Certification examinations, has served on the Board of Directors for the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics and is the past President of the organization
On-site MRI, PT and orthotics and prosthetics as well as a pharmacy and urgicare clinic
Clinic and procedure days. Procedures done in an ASC
Average about 120 cases/month; the current physiatrist chooses to do procedures 1 very long day per week; the number of days you do procedures is up to you
See about 25 patients/day
Will work closely with one (or possibly two) spinal surgeons (they have another spine doc hopefully joining them in the fall).
Work with an EMR system; they use Allscripts
Procedures are done at a surgery center and they are willing to make arrangements also for an injection room for in office injections.

Patients getting pain meds (including opioids) with no procedures: approximately 10%
Patients getting opioids and occasional procedures: over 50%. These figures are estimates.
The current physiatrist does urine drug screens at regular intervals, and patientss are often discharged for failing a drug screen.
Employee, partnership not possible for this type of group by GA law
The current physiatrist nets $400,000 and only works 4 days/week
2-3 weeks’ vacation, health, dental, CME, relocation and more
Reason for the opening:
The current physiatrist’s family lives in Atlanta so he’s moving to Atlanta
A pain management specialist, who does interventional pain management, with the full complement of injection skills, fellowship trained, who is comfortable managing and working up chronic pain patients
Board Certified/Qualified physiatrist with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
A team player
Will consider 2018 pain fellowship graduates
