Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician

WellStar Medical Group is seeking board certified/board eligible Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician to join our well established group of 3 physicians and 3 advanced practitioners. Physicians enjoy a variety of practice settings including a 20 bed acute inpatient rehab unit, consult service, outpatient clinics, and our Long Term Acute Care Center.
Our schedule provides 7 days off every 4 weeks following 7 day coverage on the inpatient Rehabilitation unit.
Outpatient clinic responsibilities include new evaluations, rehabilitation follow ups, EMG/NCS studies, trigger point and joint injections, spasticity management, and orthotics/prosthetics. Potential for development of your own area of clinical interest in Neuro rehabilitation is open as well.
WellStar Kennestone Regional Medical Center is a 633 bed hospital, and houses the only Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level II Trauma Center in northwest Atlanta. We are located approximately 25 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta, GA.
Our Inpatient Rehabilitation unit is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities for General Rehabilitation as well as for Stroke Rehabilitation.
Our program is patient-focused and our interdisciplinary team is dedicated to exceptional outcomes. Our team of professionals work together with patients and their families to achieve their greatest level of independence and facilitate a smooth transition to home and community throughout the Rehabilitation continuum from acute hospitalization to inpatient Rehabilitation and the outpatient community reentry program.
