The University of Pittsburgh/UPMC Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking a board-certified Physiatrist to serve as Medical Director of our general inpatient unit at our academic hub in Pittsburgh. The candidate will provide general rehabilitation services with a focus on medical complexity, and have a consultative and outpatient role within our growing department as well as great teaching opportunities. Our general inpatient unit at UPMC Montefiore Hospital boasts a variety of patient diagnoses with outstanding therapy and nursing teams and strong acute care partnerships. The newly appointed Medical Director will have the opportunity to interact with hospital leadership in coordination of services and quality outcomes. The successful candidates must demonstrate strong organizational, communication, teaching and leadership skills and have an interest in both inpatient, consultative, and outpatient management of patients with general rehabilitation needs.
