Kapi'olani Medical Specialists and the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii, are seeking a Fellowship trained and Board Certified/Board Eligible specialist in Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
As the only full service Pediatric hospital in the state of Hawaii, Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is home to subspecialists in pediatric orthopedic surgery, pediatric sports medicine, pediatric urology, pediatric gastroenterology, pediatric surgery, pediatric neurology and neurosurgery, pediatric intensive and neonatal care, and pediatric behavioral health who provide multi-disciplinary care focused on the whole child.
We are seeking a Pediatric Physiatrist to provide interdisciplinary, comprehensive rehabilitative services for a diverse population of infants, children and adolescents in the inpatient and outpatient arena. This candidate would work collaboratively with our rehabilitative department to diagnose, treat and manage children with neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. Full time clinical position with academic opportunities available.
Kapi’olani Medical Specialists (KMS) is a not-for-profit organization founded to care for our community through medical and academic excellence. We are a multispecialty physician group, consisting primarily of pediatric specialists and subspecialists. As of 2017, we have 152 clinicians and 44 staff members in our organization. KMS engages in and promotes statewide collaborations in specialties including pediatric rheumatology, pediatric surgery and genetics. We work in partnership with many area health care providers, including Kaiser Permanente, Queen’s Medical Center, and Tripler Army Medical Center. As well as teaming up with these hospitals, we work with a wide range of clinics located in many different environments, from within the greater Honolulu area to many outlying areas, including the Hawaiian Islands.
Our organization provides the coverage for essential services, including the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and intermediate nursery, pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), pediatric hospitalist and oncology services, general nursery, pediatric surgery, genetics and outpatient clinics, and inpatient behavioral health consultation.
