Grand Traverse Pavilions is seeking a Medical Director for the new Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), which will provide innovative care for aging individuals in the northwest Michigan region. The Medical Director will ensure the provision of high quality, cost effective care and services to members through oversight of service delivery, clinical outcomes, and quality improvement programming, in addition to development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices.
As the sponsoring organization, Grand Traverse Pavilions is the largest county-owned long-term care facility in Michigan with 240 licensed nursing beds, 78 assisted living apartments, 3 independent living apartments, in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation programs, and aquatic wellness center on its scenic, 28-acre campus.
The Pavilions is located in Traverse City, a bustling waterfront community located on the shores of the Grand Traverse Bay in Northern Michigan. The successful candidate must have experience working in a managed care environment in collaboration with peers and other health providers to resolve utilization, quality management, performance improvement, pharmacy and therapeutics, peer review, credentialing, and physician leadership issues. Minimum 3 years of experience in a lead administrative role and 1 year primary care experience with a frail, elderly or long-term care population.
M.D. or DO with current state of Michigan license or able to obtain. DEA registration and the ability to obtain and maintain staff privileges at PACE North contracted agencies. Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice with advanced certification in geriatrics preferred.
