Inpatient Medical Director—academic.
This is an excellent opportunity for a physiatrist to add clinical management skills to their repertoire, while serving as the inpatient team leader. We are a growing department with institutional support for collaboration of rehabilitation in both the acute and post-acute continuum.
UC PM&R has a unique inpatient rotation schedule that alternates between weeks of inpatient, consults, and outpatient care. Candidates with interest in Stroke, SCI, Cancer, and Brain Injury are strongly encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate is a true clinician-educator, and enjoys medical student/resident teaching and mentorship. New areas of potential clinical leadership include Cancer, Consult team, and Peds/Adult Transitional Clinic.
Outpatient opportunities include spasticity management including botulinum injections, and intrathecal pump management, phenol blocks, EMG, and Sports medicine.
We offer MSK Ultrasound access at multiple locations, in addition to both inpatient and outpatient EMGs.
The candidates will participate in both residency and medical student education as full-time faculty; and will be a part of multidisciplinary care and research as part of the UC Gardner Neuroscience Center.

The Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine is the academic division of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
There is both an adult PMR and combined Peds/PMR residency program integrated within the division.

In partnership with UC Health, UC Gardner Neuroscience Institute, HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital at The Drake Center, VA Medical Center, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, we are focused on providing the highest level of rehabilitation care to those in Cincinnati and the surrounding areas.
